Crime in Pasadena

Holy crap guys. G [my husband] found a dead body on his way to work this morning! Right by old town...actually it is old town! One of the new condo buildings south of Colorado. Fucking sucks. He saw it on the side of the street [next to the sidewalk] as he was driving by. Saw legs sticking out from under some tree branches on the sidewalk. Dude. I can't believe he just told me this story. He called 911 and of course got a busy signal! But as he was getting out of his car he saw another man round the corner and that guy was already talking to a 911 dispatcher [the other guy had gone out to walk his dog]. Apparently, the crime had to have just happened because G's co-worker drove by 10 min. before and saw nothing. I don't even know if I should give much detail. I mean it's an open investigation at this point. I don't know. It's just wrong.

I might post more details later. We'll see.

What a way to start off February! What a way to start off a morning. Poor G!

UPDATE #1: Yes, as Cat stated in her comment, we did go check out the crime scene on our way to Starbucks this morning. Saw the body with the white sheet. Block was yellow taped. Lot's of cops, and the coroner was just arriving with their brown evidence collection bags. We were stopped at a red light so had lots of time to stare in awe and shock. Morbid curiosity?

UPDATE #2: Since those commenting are assuming it was a male, I will say it was a woman. G thinks she was in her late 20's early 30's. From the looks of it and her outfit, she might have been out walking her dog. I think that's why I find it even sadder. She was either attacked or hit by a car. And then left for dead. At least that's what we think. We'll see if we ever hear anything.

WOW...that sucks!! We once saw a homeless man dead on the sidewalk on a main street. No cops or anything. After driving back up 10 mins later someone had covered him up.

Did G poke him with a stick?

Hey there!

You know I have to comment on this, LOL. A few things:
1. Don't stress, the lady was not killed, she killed herself. Jumped off of the building.
2. The reason the line was busy when your Hubby called 911 is the following. When you call 911 from a cellphone, it does not always connect you with the correct agency. If you are near a freeway (like he was; the 710/134/210 connection), the call will get transfered to CHP instead of the PPD. And, CHP has very long hold times.
3. When are we going to lunch? This week?

Take care of yourself (and your tummy)!
